Journaling Sessions

Online group sessions offer a quiet, welcoming space to spend time with your journal in the company of others

Whether you are new to journaling or have been writing for years, these sessions offer an accessible way to deepen your practice, try a different approach, or explore a particular theme.

Each session is a standalone experience, so you can join whenever a theme speaks to you. Come as you are, bring your journal, and take the time you need.

Let's Journal Together

Journaling is personal, but you do not have to journal alone.

Writing alongside others brings out our shared humanity. For centuries, people have gathered in shared spaces to pause, reflect, and make sense of their inner world. These journaling sessions offer a modern way to return to that — a quiet space to turn inward, while being held in the presence of others.

A guided space for reflection

You will be guided through a series of journaling exercises, with plenty of uninterrupted time to write and reflect.

The sessions are facilitated using established therapeutic and expressive writing techniques, with prompts designed to help you explore the theme from your own perspective. At the end of the session, there is an opportunity to share how the journaling experience felt for you, if you feel called to.

The Experience

Come as you are. Whether you choose to participate actively or stay on the sidelines, take this as your calm moment for introspection.

A 90-minute guided journaling experience designed to bring you calm and clarity

A different theme for each session, offering a new lens for reflection into your inner world

Quiet, uninterrupted time for writing, allowing your thoughts and insights to unfold naturally

Optional sharing in a safe space, if you wish to connect and be witnessed in your experience

The Invitation

This space is for you if…

Your Journal Is Yours

What you write during the session remains private.

Sharing is always welcome, but never required. While you can read a line that made sense for you, there is no expectation to tell the group what came up for you. You are also welcome to participate quietly, with your camera off if you prefer.

If you choose to share at the end, the focus is usually on your experience rather than the details of what you wrote. You might share how the session felt, what surprised you, or whether you noticed something shift for you.

Stories From Our Community

About Ana Juma

I’m a journaling facilitator and certified Journal to the Self® instructor, and I teach people how to use journaling as an intentional practice for well-being and self-understanding.

My approach draws on therapeutic and expressive writing techniques and focuses on helping people understand how to work with journaling, rather than simply giving them things to write about.

Through a blend of structure, reflection, and guided practices, I create spaces that support clarity, emotional processing, and self-connection. While free writing can be a powerful starting point, journaling goes far beyond simply emptying your mind onto the page.

Each journaling practice is as unique as the person holding the pen. My approach honors that — evolving with you over time, shaping who you’re becoming, and gently influencing every area of your life.
